Map Network Drives on a Mac

Before attempting to map a drive, ensure that you have the appropriate permissions granted (if required).

1. Open Finder.

2. Click Go from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

3. Click Connect to Server.

4. In the Server Address field, enter the path to the drive you want to map.

• For Departmental Shared Drives:
  • smb://homedir.elon.edu/dept/departmental name
    • If the above does not work, try adding /share to the end of the path.
• For Personal Network Storage:
  • smb://homedir.elon.edu/username

5. Click Connect.

6. Type your Elon email address (including @elon.edu) and password.

• If your username alone does not work, try:
  • FS\username

7. Click Connect.
