Kaltura Troubleshooting

If you are receiving errors from Kaltura when trying to save from Kaltura Capture or uploading to Moodle, please try the following steps:

  1. Access the settings folder of the app. Typically located at:
    1. Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/Settings
    2. Windows: C:\\Users\\<Username>\\AppData\\Local\\Kaltura\\CaptureSettings
  2. Delete the external settings file.
  3. Re-install the Kaltura Capture application.

If this does not resolve the issue for you, KalturaCapture does save a local copy of your recording. You can locate the recording here:

  1. On your Mac, hold down the option key and open the Go menu and choose Library. Then open the Preferences folder, the Kaltura folder, the Capture folder, and the Recordings folder. The video should be in this folder. In Moodle, click My Media, choose Add New and then Media Upload. You can drag and drop the video file from your Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/Recordings folder directly into this screen."
  2. For a PC, the video is stored in C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Kaltura\Capture\Recordings\
