THIS DOCUMENT ONLY APPLIES TO ELON OWNED IOS DEVICES USING APPLE MAIL
Elon is transitioning to multi-factor authentication for accessing your Elon email account through Office 365. This change is to enhance email security and ensure that your mailbox, calendar, and contacts are accessed from devices you have approved.
If your iOS device is enrolled in Elon’s Mobile Device Management (also called JAMF) and meets the minimum system requirements you should be prompted for credentials and an MFA challenge. The steps below show the process of re-authenticating your Elon email account to ensure your device is updated to Microsoft's current Modern Authentication.
STEPS FOR RE-AUTHENTICATING ELON EMAIL ACCOUNT IN APPLE MAIL
1. You should see the following message requesting to re-enter your Elon email password. Click Edit Settings.

2. You will be directed to the accounts settings on your iOS device. First select the Elon Email account then select Re-enter Password.


3. Enter in your Elon email password for the DUO authentication


4. Your account has now been updated
