How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the top row of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Log off when finished.
  5. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom leftside of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Desktop (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the top row of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Turn on the projector using remote provided.
  5. Use to present as needed.
  6. To power the system off, press the Power Off button on the same remote.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom leftside of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU.

  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  5. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom leftside of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

3.) Projector (NEC)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, VGA, DVD, VCR, CD, Composite, and AUX).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. The projector will display whatever is selected on the touch screen control.
  4. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

4.) Print Station (Two printers)

This station has both a color and a black and white printer for student use. Both operate the same way (as explained below).

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Select HP_Printer_on_Pharos01 when printing.
  2. Type in your Elon username in the popup window.
  3. Swipe Phoenix Card at the printing station.
  4. Select which documents sent to the printer that you want to print.
  5. Click the print button.
