Manage an Existing Account in E-Alert

Manage an existing E-Alert account

  1. Go to Elon's E-Alert home page
  2. Click on the Manage Your Account link at the right
  3. Log in with your E-Alert username and password (this may or may not be the same as your Elon email)
  4. Follow the steps below to manage your account

Change your password

  1. Click on the Account tab
  2. Enter your old password and a new password

Change/update which alerts you receive

  1. Click on the Groups tab
  2. You are set to receive messages listed under Active Groups. Click Unsubscribe to stop receiving messages from a particular group
  3. You can begin receiving messages from additional groups listed under Available Groups. Click Subscribe to receive alerts from that group

Change/update alert method

  1. Click on the Services tab
  2. From here you can add or remove cell phone numbers (txt messaging) or email addresses
  3. It’s important that each method is validated (see below).

Validate your mobile phone

  1. Click o n the Services tab
  2. Under the SMS section, you should see your phone number and a link that says Validate Now. Click the Validate Now link
  3. After clicking the link, the web page will change to a page that asks you to enter your validation code
  4. Within a few seconds you should receive a text message on your mobile phone containing your validation code
  5. Open the text message and enter the 4-digit code on the web page in the validation code field and click Validate
  6. The web page will change to say "You have successfully signed up!"  

Extend service period

  1. Click the Extend Service Period button.
  2. Your account will automatically be extended for two more years.

Delete your account

  1. Click on the Account tab
  2. Select the box that says "I Agree, Terminate My Account"
  3. Click the box that says "Terminate Account Now"
  4. Once you have terminated your account, you must contact Technical Support to re-enable it
