How to paste a column you copied from Excel or Notepad
If you paste when you see the cursor it will paste just the first value on your clipboard.
But if you scroll down so that the cursor is not visible:
...then click any row:
...you won't see the cursor. Then when you paste (with Shift-Insert or Ctrl-v) the whole column of values will be added. You only need to scroll past the row with the cursor; if you scroll farther it will still work, though if you scroll far enough that you're past the rows your pasted values filled you won't see them in there (until you scroll up, or click OK).
