This room serves as a space for students to practice physical therapy skills. It includes multiple projectors, cameras, and digital displays, as well as varied medial equipment.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the front of the CPU underneath the desk.
  2. Turn on the monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  5. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/CD, VCR, AUX, Cameras, VTC).
      Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom right side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the CMPTR tab and select either Desktop or a laptop input

DVD/CD Instructions

  1. The DVD/CD player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  2. Insert your DVD/CD into the player.
  3. Tap on the DVD/CD tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display DVD/CD controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD/CD player.

VCR Instructions

  1. The VCR player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  2. Insert your VCR into the player.
  3. Tap on the VCR tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display VCR controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the VCR player.

AUX Instructions

  1. Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the front of the CPU underneath the desk.
  2. Turn on the screen by pressing the power button on the bottom right.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. To power the desktop computer off, click the start menu in the bottom left side of the desktop screen, then select the power icon, and either click Log Off or Shut Down.

 

3.) Web Camera (Avaya)

This room is equipped with an Avaya HC020 web camera to use with web conferencing. Please review the articles below for additional information.

4.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
      Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

  • The work station includes the desktop computer, telephone, touch screen control, DVD/VCR player, as well as built in device inputs for: 1) Electrical, 2) VGA, 3) HDMI, 4) Ethernet, 5) USB, 6) Auxiliary, and 7) RCA.
