This room is located on the first floor of the Founders Hall building. It can seat 24 students and has a podium for the professor.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the computer. (The computer is inside the instructor podium, behind the right door.)
  2. Sign in using your Elon username and password.
  3. Tap the touch screen to turn on the projector system. It will take about 30-90 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen to select your desired input.
  5. Turn off the system by pressing the power button located on the top right of the touch screen. Then click the "YES - Shut down system" button.
  6. To turn off the PC in Windows 10, select Start  button, select the Powerbutton, and then select Shut down.
  7. Alternatively, sign out of Windows 10, select Start  button, select the Accounts icon (or picture), then select Sign out.

1.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the computer. (The computer is inside the instructor podium, behind the right door.)
  2. Sign in with your Elon username and password.
  3. To sign out of Windows 10, select Start  button, select the Accounts icon (or picture), then select Sign out.
  4. To turn off the PC in Windows 10, select Start  button, select the Powerbutton, and then select Shut down.

Note: The computer is inside the instructor podium, behind the right door.

2.) Touch Panel Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen to turn on the system.
  2. The system will take 30-90 seconds to warm up.
  3. Select the input that you want to display through the projector.
  4. To mute, "Image Mute" or select "Display" then "Image Mute."
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right corner of the touch screen.
  6. Select the "YES Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.
     

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and sign in with your Elon username and password.

Note: The computer is inside the instructor podium, behind the right door.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cable.
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30-90 seconds to warm up.
  2. Select" Document Camera" on the touch screen.
  3. Document camera is ready for use.
  4. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen.
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right of the touch screen or select another input to use.

 

3.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen to turn on the system. It should take about 30-90 seconds to warm up and turn on.
  2. Use the touch screen to select the desired input.
  3. To turn off the system, press the power button on the top right of the touch panel.

 

4.) Web Camera (1 Beyond AutoTracker™)

Basic Operating Instructions

This room is equipped with an 1 Beyond AutoTracker™ web camera. This camera is a high quality intelligent PTZ IP camera that automatically tracks and frames a presenter based on facial and motion detection to use with web conferencing.
