IT Project Statuses Defined
Summary
Overview of the various project statuses and their meanings.

Not Started
- TO DO - A task/project that needs to be completed. Can be either a personal task, a task assigned to you be someone else, or a task that is part of a project.
- REQUESTED - A task/project requested but has not been approved yet. Most frequently used in the IT Portfolio when the IT request form is submitted.
- COMMITTED - A task/project that has been approved and must be completed but has not yet started and may or may not have an assigned start date.
Active
- IN PROGRESS - A task/project where work is actively taking place.
- ON HOLD - A task/project that has stopped temporarily and will resume soon. This may or may not impact the agreed upon deadline.
Closed
- CANCELLED - A task/project that has stopped due to funding, priorities, etc. and will not resume.
- COMPLETE - A task/project that has been finished to completion.
