Room Summary
This room serves as a classroom and computer lab. Alamance 315 has seating for 36 people.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input. (Desktop, Laptop, DVD, Doc Cam).
Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off. Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button right above the windows button.

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, DVD, Doc Cam).
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
Desktop Instructions
- Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.
- Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.
Laptop Instructions
- Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using either the HDMI or VGA cable, and select the appropriate source.
- Ensure that your device is on.
DVD Instructions
- The Blu-Ray player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
- Insert your disk into the player.
- Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the Blu-Ray player.
Document Camera Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
2.) Desktop and Student Computer (Dell)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right of the monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system for the desktop computer. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).
3.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, DVD, Doc Cam).
Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
4.) Web Camera (Avaya)
