Located on the third floor of Carlton, this room serves as a classroom that can seat up to 22 people. The room includes a projector, four portable whiteboards, and a touch panel that controls the entire room.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD).
    Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD and AUX).

  3. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.

  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.
  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cable.
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

DVD Instructions

  1. The DVD player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  2. Insert your DVD into the player.
  3. Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.

Airmedia Instructions

 AirMedia allows for a wireless connection from computers and mobile devices to an AirMedia capable TV.

How to Use AirMedia: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will show a countdown while warming up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the AirMedia input.
  3. Follow instructions on the touch panel to connect your device to the AirMedia.

Note:  AirMedia are available in multiple rooms with different technology.

How to Use AirMedia: Step by Step Operations

  1. Select the "AirMedia" option on the touch panel controller.
  2. Go the IP Address displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Download AirMedia by clicking on the respective buttons.
  4. Once you have downloaded it, locate it in your download folder and then open it.
  5. A small screen will appear on your device with an input box.
  6. Type in the Room Code that is displayed on the screen into the input box on your device.
  7. Click OK, and your device's screen will appear on the projected screen.
  8. To stop presenting, click on the stop button.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system has a delay to warm up and will prompt instructions when ready for use.

  2. Select" Document Camera" on the touch screen.
  3. Document camera is ready for use.
  4. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen.
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right of the touch screen or select another input to use.

 

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To power the desktop computer off, click the start menu in the bottom left side of the desktop screen, then select the power icon, and either click Log Off or Shut Down.

 

3.) Web Camera (Avaya)
