The room is located on the first floor of the Gray building. It is a dynamic room that can be rearranged for group work or a lecture. The room can seat up to 31 students. It has 3 different projectors and screens, 12 mobile white boards, 2 large white boards at the front of the room, and an Instructor's work station at the front of the room with a desktop computer and laptop connectivity.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, DVD, Document Camera).
    Laptop/Device inputs are built into the cable cubby at the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer monitor.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password. When done, you can turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
  5. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom-left side of the desktop).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system or press the power button on the right. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, DVD, Document Camera).
  3. To pause the projection of the image, press "Image Mute" on the top left corner of the panel.
  4. To adjust specific projectors and their heights, press the projector icon on the right of the touch screen. 
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right of the touch panel control.
  6. Select the "YES, Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.

Computer Instructions

  1. Turn on the desktop and log in with your Elon username and password.
  2. Select the desktop option on the touch panel controller
  3. To connect your laptop, use the HDMI cord located on the instructor's station and then select the "Laptop" option on the panel.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Tap the AirMedia tab on the touch screen. 
  2. When the AirMedia screen is displayed, either enter the IP address in the bottom left of the screen into a web browser on your personal device, or enter in the IP address directly to the AirMedia software on your personal device.
    1. If you have not used AirMedia before, you will have to download the software onto your device. Follow the prompts on your screen which loads after you enter the IP address into your browser.
  3. The software will ask for a room code. This is a 4 digit code that can be found on the bottom left side of the displayed screen, underneath the IP address.
  4. Once you begin presenting, you can use the Crestron AirMedia application on your device to control your presentation.
  5. To stop presenting, click the disconnect button.

DVD Instructions

  1. Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel. 
  2. The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
  3. Insert your DVD into the player.
  4. Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.

Document camera Instructions

 

  1. Turn on the Document Camera.
  2. Tap on the Document Camera tab on the touch panel.
  3. Control the Document Camera using the buttons provided.

 

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the right side of the desktop.

  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop on the Touch Screen Control to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop screen).

 

3.) Projector (Canon)

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the projector.

  2. Use the touch screen control to mute the projector.
  3. Turn the projector off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.

 

4.) Web Camera (Avaya)
