Located on the basement floor of McEwen Hall, this room serves as a classroom and presentation space with a large projector screen and seating for 70 students.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top-right of the CPU (located on the top of the equipment rack).
- Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom-left side of the back of the computer monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the top-leftcorner of the desktop, then select "Shut Down" from the drop-down menu).

1.) Touch panel (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
- Computer inputs (VGA and HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.
- DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- CD can be played from the CPU. Insert the disc into the CD tray (Dell CPU located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station).
- Other devices can be connected via the AUX cord.
- Use of the document camera can be accessed from this option.

- To mute the screen, press the image mute button in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
2.) Desktop computer (Apple)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-left of the CPU.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button from the drop-down menu on the computer.
3.) Web Camera (Avaya)

4.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).

- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
5.) Document camera (WolfVision)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Tap the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Select the Auxiliary input on the touch screen control.
- On this tab there are two options, select the one that says Document Camera.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.
Additional Room Features
- Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for: 1.) Electrical, 2.) VGA, 3.) Ethernet, 4.) Composite, 5.) Auxiliary and 6.) HDMI.
