Located on the basement floor of McEwen Hall, this room serves as a classroom and presentation space with a large projector screen and seating for 70 students.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
  3. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top-right of the CPU (located on the top of the equipment rack).
  4. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom-left side of the back of the computer monitor.
  5. Login with your Elon username and password.
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the top-leftcorner of the desktop, then select "Shut Down" from the drop-down menu).

1.) Touch panel (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
    1. Computer inputs (VGA and HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.

    2. DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.

    3. CD can be played from the CPU. Insert the disc into the CD tray (Dell CPU located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station).

    4. Other devices can be connected via the AUX cord.

      1. Use of the document camera can be accessed from this option.

  3. To mute the screen, press the image mute button in the top-left corner of the screen.
  4. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.

 

2.) Desktop computer (Apple)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-left of the CPU.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button from the drop-down menu on the computer.

 

3.) Web Camera (Avaya)

4.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the instructor station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.

 

5.) Document camera (WolfVision)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Select the Auxiliary input on the touch screen control.
  3. On this tab there are two options, select the one that says Document Camera.

  4. Document camera is ready for use.
  5. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  6. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.

Additional Room Features

  • This room is equipped with a portable whiteboard
