Room Summary
Located on the second floor of McEwen, this room serves as a classroom with seating available for 35 people (four of which are left-handed desks). This classroom includes a projector and a touch panel controlling the entire room.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, DVD).
Laptop/Device inputs are built into the top of the work station.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-left of the display
The desktop computer in the room is the default computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Apple button on the top left side of the home screen).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, DVD).
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
Desktop Instructions
- Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.
- Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.
Laptop Instructions
- Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using either the HDMI or VGA cable, and select the appropriate source.
- Ensure that your device is on.
DVD Instructions
- The Blu-Ray player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
- Insert your disk into the player.
- Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the Blu-Ray player.
2.) Desktop Computer (MAC)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-left of the monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Apple button on the top left side of the home screen).
3.) Projector (Canon)

- Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for: 1) HDMI, 2) VGA, 3) Ethernet, 4) Audio, 5) Electrical.
