Room Summary
This room is a classroom with seating for 24 people on the first floor of McMichael.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD, VCR, CD, LD, and AUX).
- Laptop/Device inputs are built into the top of the work station.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.
- Computer inputs (VGA and HDMI) are built into the top of the workstation.
- DVD can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the workstation.
- VCR can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the workstation.
- CD can be played from the Sony DVD player, insert into the CD tray.
- LD (LaserDisc) can be played from the Pioneer LaserDisc player, insert into the LD tray.
- Other devices, such as the Document Camera can be connected via the AUX cord.
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of both computer monitors.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).
3.) Document Camera (WolfVision)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Connect document camera to the instructor work station via the VGA cables.
- Turn on the Crestron control Panel and go to the "AUX" option.
- Turn on the camera.
- Place document for presentation on the Elmo device.
- When finished turn off system.
4.) Web Camera (Vaddio)

5.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD, VCR, CD, LD, and AUX).
- Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
Additional Room Features
- Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for 1) Composite, 2) VGA, 3) Ethernet, and 4) Electrical.
- There are also adapters for the VGA cable for HDMI and mini DisplayPort located on the instructor desk.
