This is a large conference/presentation room on the second floor of Moseley Student Center which has seating options for up to 80 people. There is a touch panel controling the room as well as a desktop, Blu-Ray player, projector and screen, web camera, and microphone.

How to Use: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right corner of the monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touchscreen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HMDI, VGA, Airmedia, Blu-ray, TV, and AUX).  (Computer Inputs are built into the work stations.)
  5. To power the computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the computer, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

1.) Hallway Touch Panel (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

* These control panels are used for space reservations and scheduling. There is one located outside each set of doors.

  1. Touch the screen to activate the system.
  2. Screen displays the schedule for Moseley 215. (If the sides of the touch panel are green then the room is currently avalible. If the sides of the touch panel are red then the room is currently unavalible.)
  3. Time slots that are available may be schedule via PhoenixSPACES (25Live). 

 

2.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (HDMI, VGA, AirMedia, Blu-Ray, TV, and AUX).
  3. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.

  4. There are volume controls for the room on the right side of the touch screen.
  5. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

HDMI Instructions

  1. Tap on the HDMI option found within the Computer tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cord (2).

  3. Ensure that your device is on.

VGA Instructions

  1. Tap on the VGA option found within the Computer tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the VGA cord (1) and the audio connection for VGA (4).

  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Select the "AirMedia" option on the touch panel controller.

  2. A screen similar to the one shown below will appear on the screen.
  3. Type the IP address URL displayed at the bottom of the screen into a browser on your personal device.
  4. If you have not used AirMedia before you will have to download the AirMedia software. Follow the instructions on the website.
  5. Once the software opens, it will prompt you for a room code. This is a four digit code found at the bottom of the projector screen, beneath the URL.
  6. Click on the "Connect" button, and your device's screen will appear on the projected screen.
  7. To stop presenting, click on the disconnect button.

Blu-Ray Instructions

  1. The Blu-Ray can be played with the Oppo player located in the equipment rack.
  2. Insert your Blu-Ray into the player.
  3. Tap on the Blu-Ray tab on the touch panel. Crestron panel with blu-ray input selected
  4. The touch panel will display Blu-Ray controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the Blu-Ray player.

TV Instructions

  1. Tap on the TV tab on the control panel.

  2. Use the arrows on the right to scroll up and down through the channels or use the numbers to select a specific channel.

AUX Instructions

  1. Other devices can be connected via the composite input (5).

  2. Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.

  3.  The touch panel will display the AUX device options.  (you need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.)

 

3.) Computer (Dell)

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right corner of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from Compyter tab to display on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the screen, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

4.) Projector (Panasonic)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input. (Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.)
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

5.) Microphone and Mixer (Shure and Mackie)

 

 

 

 

Basic Operating Instructions

* Control Panel does not need to be turned on to use the microphone.

  1. Make sure the microphone is plugged into the mixer and the mixer is plugged into the equipment rack.
  2. Turn on the microphone by flipping the switch on the microphone up.
  3. Adjust the volume of the microphone using the turn knob in the bottom left corner of the mixer.
  4. Turn off the microphone by flipping the switch downwards.

 

6.) Web Camera (Avaya)
