Room Summary
This room serves as a classroom and lab space on the second floor of McMichael. It has 4 additional Mac computers for student use and seating for 34 people.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
Laptop/Device inputs (HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the back left side.
The desktop computer in the room is the default computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, hold down the power button on the back left side

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Tap the touch screen to turn on the system.
- The system will take 30-90 seconds to warm up.
- Select the input that you want to display through the projector.
- To mute, "Image Mute" or select "Display" then "Image Mute."
- To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right corner of the touch screen.
- Select the "YES Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.
Desktop Instructions
- Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch screen.
- Turn on the Desktop computer and sign in with your Elon username and password.
- When turning off, ensure that both the touch screen and desktop are off
Laptop Instructions
- Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch screen.
- Plug in your device using the HDMI cable.
- Ensure that your device is on.
AirMedia Instructions
This room is equipped with AirMedia. AirMedia is a way to present that allows users to wirelessly connect to the room's audio and visual system (i.e. speakers and projector).
- Select the AirMedia button on the touch screen.
- Enter the IP address or the web address into the search bar of your web browser.
- If you have not already downloaded the AirMedia software, follow the prompts from the website.
- When prompted, enter the access code for the room, found on the touch panel controller or the projected screen.
Document Camera Instructions
- Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
2.) Desktop (Mac)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the back-left side of the computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
- To turn the computer off, press the power button on the back left side of the computer.
3.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the projector.
- Select the desired input on the projector (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
- Touch the Image Mute button on the touch screen control to mute the projector.
- Turn the projector off by pressing the System Off button on the top right side of the touch screen control.
4.) Document Camera (Wolfvision)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.
5.) Student Desktop (Mac) (x4)
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the back-left side of the computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- To turn the computer off, press the power button on the back left side of the computer.
Web Camera
