When you create a posting, title, or other item in the system, you can format your text using mark-up. For example, if you want to present a list of job duties, you can mark each list entry to display as a bulleted list item. You can also mark up URLs so that they act as links.
The HR Suite uses RedCloth's Textile mark-up language for text formatting. You can find out more about it at RedCloth's Textile website or just use this quick reference.
Textile mark-up uses punctuation marks to indicate text formatting. Because of this, using non-standard punctuation may result in unexpected text formatting.
To break text into paragraphs with spaces between them
Add p. and a space at the start of each paragraph. Separate paragraphs with blank lines.
If you type:
p. This is one paragraph.
p. This is another.
it produces this formatting:
This is one paragraph.
This is another.
To make a bulleted or numbered list
Add an asterisk * and a space at the start of a paragraph to make it a bulleted item. Add a pound sign # and a space at the start of a paragraph to make it a numbered item.
If you type* List item
* Another list item
it produces this formatting:* List item
- Another list item
If you type# List item
# Another list Item
it produces this formatting: # List item
- Another list item
To make a list within a list:
Add two asterisks and a space or two pound signs and a space at the start of a paragraph to make it an entry in a second-level or nested list within a list. The nested list does not have to be the same kind of list - for example, you can put a bulleted list inside a numbered list, or vice-versa.

** To make a trademark or copyright symbol:
Type (r) at the end of a word to make a registered trademark symbol:Registered Trademark(r)

Type (tm) at the end of a word to make a trademark symbol:Trademark(tm)
