Recreate the Elon University location profile

  1. On the taskbar, click the Airport icon > Turn Airport Off.
  2. On the taskbar, click the AirPort icon > Open Network Preferences.
  3. Click location, then select Edit Location.
  4. Click the plus sign.
  5. Type "Elon University".
  6. Click Done.

Delete the elonu-secure Network

Sometimes the elon-wpa network has already been deleted on the computer. If you do not see the elon-wpa network listed under Preferred Networks, nothing is wrong, just skip to deleting the network profiles.
  1. On the taskbar, click the AirPort icon > Open Network Preferences.
  2. In the window that appears, click Advanced.
  3. On the AirPort Tab, select elonu-secure in the Preferred Networks list.
  4. Below the list, click - button. The network is deleted.
  5. On the 802.1X tab, click the triangle beside User Profiles.
  6. Select elonu-secure.
  7. Below the column, click the - button. (The network user profile is deleted.)
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Apply.

Once you have deleted the elonu-secure network, delete the network profiles.

Delete the Network Profiles

  1. On the right of the taskbar, click the spotlight (the magnifying glass).
  2. Type Keychain Access.
  3. In the list of results, click Keychain Access (the top hit).
  4. In the window that appears, in the spotlight field (in the top right corner), type elon.
  5. Delete all of the entries that appear.
    1. Select the entry.
    2. In the taskbar, click Edit > Delete.
  6. In the spotlight field (in the top right corner), type wpa.
  7. Delete all of the entries that appear.
    1. Select the entry.
    2. In the taskbar, click Edit > Delete.
  8. Quit the program.

Once you have deleted the network profiles, install the security certificates.

Recreate the Network Profile

To recreate the network profile

  1. On the taskbar, click the AirPort icon > Turn AirPort On.
  2. When the window displays the list of available wireless networks, select elonu-secure. (The user must enter their credentials.)

If this does not fix the problem, reset the profile authentication.

To reset the profile authentication

  1. In the taskbar, click the AirPort icon > Open Network Preferences.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. On the Airport tab, select elonu-wpa on the preferred networks list.
  4. In the window that appears – it should appear – enter the user’s credentials again.
  5. On the 802.11 tab, click the triangle beside User Profiles.
  6. Select elonu-secure.
  7. Clear all options other than PEAP.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Apply.
