Anti-Virus & Malware Protection

To keep your personal computer protected from harmful files, it is critical that your computer is equipped at all times with effective security programs, i.e. anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-malware programs. To assist you with this, we have compiled a series of recommended protection programs for your computer.

File Storage & Backups

Elon University offers a number of cloud-based file storage and back up solutions for faculty and staff. Whether you're looking to manage documents, automate processes, or easily collaborate on files with colleagues, there are a variety of tools and services to help you streamline tasks and complete projects.

Password Management

All Elon faculty, staff, and students are provided with a username and password to access a variety of services on campus, including the wireless network, Moodle, and E-Net. Some services, such as OnTrack and E-Bill, require separate login credentials.

Secure Access

Elon University data is managed within a number of applications. Utilizing a virtual private network (VPN) and multi-factor authentication strengthens access security for the many faculty and staff who work within those platforms.

Security Consulting / Awareness

Information security is integral to the protection of data, campus technology resources and the existence of a safe computing environment for the entire Elon University community. Through security awareness, tools, and resources, the office works to safeguard against threats to Elon’s digital resources and networking infrastructure by educating faculty, staff, and students about common cyber security threats and how to avoid them.
