Google Hangouts is an easy-to-use application for instant messaging, voice calls and video calls using computers and mobile devices. Offered as part of Google Apps for Education, the service is integrated in the Gmail interface to allow users to easily switch between chatting and emailing. Google Hangouts also offers a Chrome extension, which allows you to receive desktop notifications.
