Forum Participation Report

Walks you through how to access the Forum Summary Report which outlines student participation within a forum in the LMS.

1.) Navigate to the forum where you would like to view the student participation report

2.) Within the forum, click the button that says "Reports"

3.) You will then be taken to the forum summary report which outlines student participation within the forum

Within the forum summary report, you will see a row for each student. The summary report outlines the following items:

• Number of discussions posted
• Number of replies posted
• Number of attachments
• Number of views
• Word count
• Character count
• Earliest post
• Most recent post

4.) If you wish to export the data out of Moodle, click the 'Export' button to the right of the student

5.) If you wish to export all of the student data, click the check box to the left of each student and then click the 'Download' button at the bottom of the page
