The Canon printers/copiers do not have a hole punching capability.
Only labels designed for printers/copiers should be used and not laser jet or inkjet labels. Using laser jet or inkjet labels on a printer/copier could cause the labels to peel off inside of the printer/copier or jam.
How to use Canon Printers
1.) When printing, select the Canon printer and print the job
- On Macs, the Canon is identified as 'Canon Printer.' On Windows machines, the printer is identified as 'Canon_BW.'
2.) Touch your Phoenix Card to the Blackboard card reader to log in
3.) Tap 'Secure Print'
4.) You will see a queue of all documents you've sent - You must select the document(s) to print by tapping the document or 'Select All'
- Options - This button is non-functional.
- Print + Delete - This will print and delete the file from your print queue.
- Print + Keep - This will print and keep the file in your print queue.
- Select All - This will select all documents in your print queue (useful for printing multiple files at once).
- Refresh - This will refresh your print queue. There is a 10-15 second lag between printing a document and when it shows up in your queue.
- Delete - Delete the file from your print queue.
- Logout - Log out of the Canon printer/copier. You will be logged out automatically after 2 minutes.
- Documents are kept in the print queue for 10 hours before being purged from the system. Additionally, since there is a 2-minute window before being logged out, it is recommended you logout when finished.
Mobile Printing
- Users can also send documents to print via email. To do so, perform the following:
- Send an email from your Elon University email account to mobileprint@elon.edu.
- Include anything you would like to print in the body of the email.
- If you would like to print a file, attach the document to the email and send. NOTE: Only the following file types are allow: .PDF, .DOC, .DOCX, .PPT, .PPTX, .PPS, .XLS, .XLSX, .RTF, .TXT, .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .TIF, and .TIFF.
- Send the email.
- Print the document from the Canon printer/copier as outlined above.
