Located on the second floor of Powell, this classroom seats up to 36 students.
How to Use Room: Base Level Room Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, Laptop, DVD, VCR, Blu-Ray, CD, and AUX).
- To turn on the desktop computer, press the power button on the bottom right of the desktop
- Log in with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button from the menu of options in the bottom left hand corner of the computer screen

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, DVD, VCR, Blu-Ray, CD, and AUX).
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
Desktop Instructions
- Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.
- Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.
VGA Instructions
- Tap on the VGA tab on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using the VGA cord (6) and the audio connection for VGA (5).
- Ensure that your device is on.
HDMI Instructions
- Tap on the HDMI tab on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using the HDMI cord (3).
- Plug in your device using the Audio cord (5) located under HDM.
- Ensure that your device is on.
(HDMI is video only, Analog cord must be connected for laptop audio.)
DVD Instructions
- The DVD player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
- Insert your DVD into the player.
- Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.
VCR Instructions
- The VCR player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
- Insert your VCR into the player.
- Tap on the VCR tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.
Blu-ray Instructions
- The Blu-ray player is located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- Insert your Blu-ray into the player.
- Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display Blu-ray controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the Blu-ray player.
CD Instructions
- The CDs can be played from the JVC VCR/DVD Player .
- Insert your CD into the tray.
- Tap on the CD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display CD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the CD player.
AUX Instructions
- Other devices can be connected via the composite input (2).
- Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.
- The touch panel will display the AUX device options.
You need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.
2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right of the computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

4.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 50 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, VGA, HDMI, DVD, VCR, Blu-Ray, CD, and AUX).
Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- The projector will display whatever is selected on the touch screen control.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
Additional Room Features
- Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for: 1) Electrical, 2) Composite for external devices, 3) HDMI, 4) Ethernet, 5) Audio for VGA, and 6) VGA.
