Canvas is Elon's new official learning management system (LMS). All credit-bearing, academic courses will be added to Canvas via Colleague. In addition to academic courses, Canvas may be used to instruct non-academic courses like department workshop, or university-wide trainings. Sandbox courses can also be requested by instructors to experiment with new features in Canvas. Course requests are evaluated for approval on a case-by-base basis to ensure they align with institutional needs, appropriate use of Canvas, and to manage our data storage.
