Room Summary

This room is a digital art classroom which can hold 20 students. The room has a desktop and Wacom tablet available at each seat as well as additional monitors between seats that the professor can use to mirror their screen for instructional use. There is also a projector and projector screen at the front of the room.

 

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the desktop computer by pressing the button on the bottom back left of the monitor.
  2. Log in using your Elon username and password.
  3. Turn on the projector by pressing the power button on the top left corner of the projector remote control.
  4. Turn the desktop computer by selecting the Shut Down option, which is located in the dropdown menu which appears when you click on the apple icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  5. Turn off the projector by pressing the power button on the top left corner of the projector remote control.

1.) Desktop Computers - Instructor and Student (Apple)

  1. Turn on the desktop computer by pressing the button on the bottom back left of the monitor.
  2. Log in using your Elon username and password.
  3. Turn the desktop computer by selecting the Shut Down option, which is located in the dropdown menu which appears when you click on the apple icon in the top left corner of the screen.

 

2.) Projector (NEC)

  1. Turn on the projector by pressing the power button on the top left corner of the projector remote control.
  2. The projector will automatically display a mirrored image of the instructor's computer screen. 
  3. Turn off the projector by pressing the power button on the top left corner of the projector remote control.

 

3.) Monitors (Samsung)

  1. Turn on the monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom of the monitor.
  2. The monitor will automatically display a mirrored image of the instructor's computer screen.
  3. Turn off the monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom of the monitor.

 

4.) Personal Device (HDMI)

  1. Connect your personal device to the room using the HDMI cable which is located in the cable cubby on the instructor's desk.
  2. Ensure your device is on.
  3. A mirrored image of your screen will be displayed on the monitors around the room as well as the projector if they are turned on.
    1. If the instructor's desktop is being used and a personal device is connected with the HDMI cable, the personal device will override the desktop and will be displayed on the monitors and projector screen.
