This room is a research suite for use by psychology students and professors. It includes presentation equipment and tables with seating for six.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU on the technology rack.
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  5. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HMDI, VGA, DVD/VCR, CD, and AUX). Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input to display on the three TVs.
    1. Computer/device inputs (HDMI, VGA, AUX) are built into the top of the work station.
    2. DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
    3. CD can be played from the DVD player, insert into the tray.
  3. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

 

2.) Desktop (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU on the technology rack.
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 40 seconds to warm up.
  5. Select Desktop from computer inputs to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  6. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

Additional Room Features

 

  • The work station includes the desktop computer, telephone, touch screen control, DVD/VCR player, as well as built in device inputs for: 1) Electrical, 2) VGA, 3) HDMI, 4) Ethernet, 5) USB, 6) Auxiliary, and 7) RCA.
