Room Summary
Located on the third floor of Alamance, this space operates as a classroom that can seat up to 17 people. This classroom includes a desktop computer, a projector, an overhead projector, and a touch panel controlling all the technology in the room.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, DVD, VCR, CD, Doc Cam, and AUX).
Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
The desktop computer in the room is the default computer.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
VGA Instructions
- Tap on the CMPTR button on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using the VGA cord.
- Connect your device to the audio system by using the Audio cord for the VGA
- Ensure that your device is on.
DVD Instructions
- DVD can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- Insert your DVD into the player.
- Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.
VCR Instructions
- VCR can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- Insert your VCR into the player.
- Tap on the VCR tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display VCR controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the VCR player.

CD Instructions
- CD can be played from the Dell CPU, located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station
- Insert into the CD tray.
- Tap on the CD tab on the touch panel.
- The touch panel will display CD controller buttons.
- Use the buttons displayed to control the CD player.

AUX Instructions
- Other devices can be connected via the composite input.
- Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.
- The touch panel will display the AUX device options.
You need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.
Document Camera Instructions
- Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.
