This room serves a music production classroom/lab has seating for 18 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button located on the back bottom left side of the computer.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HDMI, VGA, AirMedia, composite, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, Doc Cam, and AUX).
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the apple button located in the top left side of the screen, and select Shut Down.

1.) Desktop (Apple)

 

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button located on the back bottom left side of the computer.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To power the desktop computer off, click the apple button located in the top left side of the screen, and select Shut Down.

 

2.) Student Desktop (Apple)

  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To power the desktop computer off, click the apple button located in the top left side of the screen, and select Shut Down.

4.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, Doc Cam, Aux).
  3. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

HDMI Instructions

  1. Tap on the HDMI tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cord (2).

  3. Ensure that your device is on.

VGA Instructions

  1. Tap on the VGA tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the VGA cord (1) and the audio connection for VGA (3).

  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. AirMedia button can be found underneath the computer input tab. A photo of the screen under the CMPTR tab on the touch panel.
  2. An IP address will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the projector screen, type this into a browser on your personal device
  3. If you have not used AirMedia before, you will have to download the software. Follow the directions on the website.
  4. When the AirMedia software opens, it will prompt you for a room code. This is the four digit code found underneath the IP address in the bottom left corner of the projector screen.
  5. Use the functions on the AirMedia software to control your presentation. When you are finished, select disconnect to end your presentation.

Blu-Ray Instructions

  1. The Blu-Ray player is located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station
  2. Insert your Blu-Ray into the player.
  3. Tap on the Blu-Ray tab on the touch panel.

  4. The touch panel will display Blu-Ray controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the Blu-Ray player.

TV Instructions

  1. Tap on the TV tab on the control panel.

  2. Use the arrows on the right to scroll up and down through the channels or use the numbers to select a specific channel.

CD Instructions

  1. The CDs can be played from the Blu-Ray player.
  2. Insert your CD into the computer.
  3. Tap on the CD tab on the touch panel.

  4. The touch panel will display CD controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the CD player.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.

  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.

AUX Instructions

  1. Other devices can be connected via the composite input (5).

  2. Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.

  3. The touch panel will display the AUX device options.
    You need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.

Phonograph

  1. Click on the Aux tab on the touch screen control.
  2. Select the "Phonograph" option.

  3. Connect the phonograph using the composite input.

 

5.) Projector (Canon)

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HDMI, VGA, AirMedia, composite, Blu-ray, TV, CD, Doc Cam, and AUX).
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

 

6.) Document Camera (Wolfvision)

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.

 

7.) Web Camera (Avaya)
