Located on the second floor of Belk Pavilion, Room 208 serves as a flexible classroom, supporting various arrangements.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- To wake up the touch panel, tap the screen.
- Tap the Elon Logo to start up the system.
- Select an input from the list at the bottom. This source will be displayed on both projectors.
- To power down the system, tap the Power Off button.

1.) Touch Panel (Crestron)
Basic Instructions
- Once the system turns on, the projector control display will pop up on the screen.
- Tap the red X button on the top right hand part of the screen to go to the home screen.
- On the home screen, select an input from the bottom of the screen such as Laptop HDMI, Laptop VGA, AirMedia 1, and AirMedia 2.
- Select the Laptop - HDMI button to connect your device to the projectors with the provided HDMI cable.
- Select the Laptop - VGA button to connect your device to the projectors with the provided VGA cable.
2.) Projector (Canon)
Basic Instructions
- To wake up the touch panel, tap the screen, and tap the Elon Logo to start up the system.
- Select an input from the list at the bottom. This source will be displayed on both projectors.
- To mute both displays, press the Image Mute button in the upper left.
- To turn individual projectors on or off, tap the Displays button.
- To power down the system, tap the Power Off button.
3.) AirMedia (Crestron)
Basic Instructions for HDMI
- Select one of the "AirMedia" options on the touch panel controller. This room supports two simultaneous AirMedia connections.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and in browser to connect
- If you haven't used AirMedia before, you will need to download it. Once you downloaded AirMedia, open it, and you should see something similar to the photo below.
- An access code will appear on the screen when connected, enter that code into the box on your laptop.
4a.) Laptop Connectivity (Vestibule)
Basic Instructions for VGA input
- Select the Vestibule VGA input on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using the VGA cables (located in the equipment rack in the vestibule)
- Ensure that your device is on, and adjust display preferences as necessary.
4b.) Laptop Connectivity (Podium)

- Select the Podium Desktop/ HDMI input on the touch panel.
- Plug in your device using the HDMI cable (located on the podium)
- Ensure that your device is on, and adjust display preferences as necessary

- Select the Podium Desktop/ HDMI input on the touch panel.
- Ensure the desktop in on
*remove any connected devices to the laptop HDMI cable*
5.) Handheld Microphone
Basic Instructions
1. The microphone can be found on the bottom shelf inside the instructors station.
2. Plug the end of the microphone cord into the audio input located below the whiteboard beside the instructors station
3. To turn on the microphone push the switch up a red dot should appear below the switch
(off) (on)
4. Use the microphone button located in the bottom right corner of the control panel to change microphones volume.
Room Display Options
Present Mode
Present mode is the standard mode that is used by default. In this mode, each projector will display the same source, as selected on the home screen.
Breakout Mode
When in Breakout mode, each AirMedia device is routed to the two projectors (Projector 1 will display AirMedia 1, Projector 2 will display AirMedia 2.) The input options at the bottom of the screen won't affect what is displayed in this mode.
Custom Mode
When in Custom mode, users are able to select different sources to be routed to each projector independently.
5.) Web Camera (1Beyond Auto Tracker 3)
This room is equipped with a 1Beyond Auto Tracker 3 web camera to use with web conferencing. Please review the articles below for additional information.
