Room Summary
Located on the first floor of the Center for the Arts, this room serves as a dance studio. It features a desktop computer, control panel, and television display screen.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button located on the bottom-right corner of the monitor.
- Log into the computer using your Elon username and password.
- Turn on the touch panel controller by pressing the "On" button in the top-left corner of the panel.
- To turn on the TV, press the power button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- To turn off the computer, select the Windows menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen and then select "Shut Down" from the drop-down menu.
- Turn off the touch panel controller by pressing and holding down the "Off" button on the left side of the panel.

1.) Control Panel (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn the control panel on by pressing the On button in the top left corner.
- Click input on the television and then select "RGB" as the input.

- To choose another input to display, select the corresponding button on the control panel (CD, DVD, iPod, Laptop, VCR).
- CDs can be played using the Tascam CD player located on the equipment rack.
- DVD and VHS can be played using the Sony DVD player located on the equipment rack.
To play a DVD, select "AV" for the input on the television screen.
- To connect a laptop using an HDMI cord, select "HDMI" as the input on the television screen. HDMI cord is not provided in the room, but would need to be connected from the laptop to the TV display.
- To connect a laptop using a VGA cord, select "Laptop" on the control panel.
- Press the "Mute" button on the right side of the panel to mute the screen.
- To turn the system off, hold down the "Off" button on the left side of the panel.
2.) Desktop computer (Dell)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- On the Crestron control panel, press the on button in the top-left corner to turn on the system. Select "Desktop" on the panel.
- Turn on the television, select Input, and ensure RGB is set as the input.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Windows button on the bottom-left corner of the desktop, then select "Shut Down" from the display menu.
3.) TV Display (LG)
Basic Operating Instructions
Note: this television functions only as a display screen for the computer and control panel. It does not include cable access.
- Turn the TV on by pressing the power button the bottom-right corner of the monitor.
- To display the desktop screen, select input using the controls on the front of the monitor, then select "RGB."
- Turn on the control panel by pressing the "on" button in the top-left corner, and press the "desktop" button on the control panel.
- To turn the TV off, press the power button on the bottom-right corner of the monitor.
4.) Web Camera (Avaya)
