This room serves as a space for class, group meetings, and presentations. Global 301 seats up to 30 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the top row of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  5. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HMDI, VGA, DVD/VCR, BLU-RAY, TV, CD, Doc Cam, and AUX).
      Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the top row of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  5. Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  6. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

3.) Document Camera (WolfVision)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.

4.) Projector (NEC)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HMDI, VGA, DVD/VCR, BLU-RAY, TV, CD, Doc Cam, and AUX).
      Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

5.) AirMedia (Crestron)

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Select the "AirMedia" option on the touch panel.
     
  2. A screen similar to the one shown below will be projected.

  3. Go the URL displayed at the top of the screen, it will take you to a page that looks similar to the one below.

  4. If you have not used AirMedia before in this room, download it by clicking on the respective buttons.                                                                                                                       AirMedia download page
  5. Once you have downloaded it, locate it in your download folder and then open it.
  6. A small panel will appear on your device with an input box.
  7. Type in the Room Code that is projected at the bottom left of the projected screen into the input box on your device.
  8. Press the "Connect" button, and your device screen will appear on the projected screen.
  9. To stop presenting, click on the disconnect button.

This room is equipped with a Vaddio web camera to use with web conferencing. Please review the articles below for additional information.

Additional Room Features

1.) Cable Cubby

  • Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for VGA, HDMI, Auxiliary, Ethernet, Composite, and Electrical.

2.) Vaddio Camera

To activate the camera, use the desktop to activate the video conferencing service of your choice, at which point the camera will automatically activate. The microphones hanging from the ceiling are tied to the same system, and will automatically activate upon the usage of video conference software.
