This room serves as a classroom for lectures, and presentations. This classroom seats 34 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. System will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, DVD, VCR, Cable TV, Document Camera, Aux).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, DVD, VCR, Cable TV, Document Camera, Aux).

  3. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image.
  4. Press the projector icon to adjust the height of the projector screen.

  5. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel. 
  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch panel. Select either VGA or HDMI depending on which you prefer.

  2. Plug in your device using either the VGA cord and the audio connection for VGA, or the HDMI cord, found in the cable cubby.
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Tap the AirMedia tab on the touch screen. 
  2. When the AirMedia screen is displayed, either enter the IP address in the bottom left of the screen into a web browser on your personal device, or enter in the IP address directly to the AirMedia software on your personal device.
    1. If you have not used AirMedia before, you will have to download the software onto your device. Follow the prompts on your screen which loads after you enter the IP address into your browser.
  3. The software will ask for a room code. This is a 4 digit code that can be found on the bottom left side of the displayed screen, underneath the IP address.
  4. Once you begin presenting, you can use the Crestron AirMedia application on your device to control your presentation.
  5. To stop presenting, click the disconnect button.

DVD Instructions

  1. Tap on the DVD tab on the touch screen control. 
  2. Insert the DVD into the player, which is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  3. The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
  4. Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.

VCR Instructions

  1. Tap on the VCR tab on the touch screen control. 
  2. Insert the VHS into the player, which is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  3. The touch panel will display VCR controller buttons.
  4. Use the buttons displayed to control the VCR.

AUX Instructions

  1. Other devices can be connected via the composite input.
  2. Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.

  3. The touch panel will display the AUX device options.
    You need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

3.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, DVD, VCR, Cable TV, Document Camera, Aux).

5.) Document Camera (Wolfvision)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.

  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.
