Located on the first floor of the Koury Business Center, this space operates as a meeting room and group work area that can seat up to 10 people.

How to Use Room: Base-Level Operations

  1. Press power button on the top row of the wall mounted control panels to turn on the system.
  2. The power button will blink red as it warms up.
  3. Select appropriate input method for your computer or system function from the control panel.
  4. To power off all systems, press and hold the power button on the top row of the control panel.

1.) TV (Sharp)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the Crestron panel to the left hand side of the TV to turn on.
  2. The power button will blink red as it warms up.
  3. To use the TV, select the TV button on the lower row of the Crestron panel.
  4. Use the arrows to navigate to the channels of your choice.
  5. To power off, press the power button on the Crestron panel.

Volume Controls

To adjust the volume, you can either choose the controls attached to the left hand side of the TV itself OR the controls on the bottom row of the control panel.

2.) Control Panel (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the top left side to turn the system on.
  2. The power button will blink red as it warms up.
  3. Select whichever button on the top row you would prefer to use (AUX, Airmedia, HDMI, VGA).
  4. Connect your computer to the input method you have selected by either using the extron wall plate (AUX, HDMI, VGA) or wirelessly connecting via Airmedia.
  5. Press the power button on the top left side to turn the system off.

3.) Wall Plate (Extron)

Product Description

The Extron WPB 109 wallplate for HDMI, VGA, and Stereo Audio is specifically designed for a standard one gang-sized junction box. It features a pass-through VGA female to VGA female on 6” pigtail, HDMI female adapter on 10” pigtail, and a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack to captive screw for ease of integration in classrooms, conference rooms, and other facilities where convenient, wall-mounted AV connectivity is required. The HDMI and VGA cables facilitate DDC transmission, such as of EDID communications and HDCP key exchange, between the display and the source. The WPB 109 wallplate is made of metal and is available in black or white finish.

Basic Operating Instructions

  • Featured in the picture above are three different means of cord connection to the main system. Click the picture to view more.
Audio
  1. Identify the first plug-in on the wall plate, as this is where you can connect any available AUX cord to your device.  
  2. Insert the AUX cord from your device (either a computer, iPod, cell-phone, etc.) and into the corresponding AUX plug-in.
  3. You should then be able to adjust the volume via your own specific device in connection to the main system.
  4. In the event that the audio does not connect properly, always check your volume settings under 'playback devices' and make sure the device you are connecting to is dispalyed.  If not, either wait for the device to add itself OR try re-connecting the device.
Computer
  1. Identify the middle plug-in on the Extron panel, as this is where you can connect your computer to the main system.
  2. Insert the computer/ VGA cord into the corresponding middle plug-in.
  3. You should then be able to directly connect your computer to the system.
HDMI
  1. Identify the bottom plug-in on the Wall Plate, as this is where you can connect your device to the main system.
  2. Insert the HDMI cord into the corresponding plug-in from your device.
  3. Your device will then be connected to the necessary equipment.

What can a Vaddio GroupSTATION do for your next conference meeting?

The Vaddio GroupSTATION includes the necessary peripherals to create a high-quality multi-use room and group collaboration experience: an HD PTZ camera, loudspeakers, microphones and a control dock. Users simply connect personal devices to the GroupSTATION or HuddleSTATION control dock via a USB or HDMI connection and begin using their favorite collaboration tools. 

Employees can collaborate remotely with PowerPoint or Keynote presentations, engage in high definition videoconferencing using Skype, Microsoft Lync, Webex, or any other application, as well as record meetings for review and provide record keeping of participants who could not attend the meeting. Users can also use SIP-based Voice over IP (VoIP) for multi-person audio conferencing or stream videos over IP using YouTube, Vimeo, or any other application of their choice. 

It’s that simple: whatever device employees want to use, whatever operating system they have, whatever way they want to collaborate, and whatever application they want to use---they can.

The pictures below show the MicPOD Dock that operates the GroupSTATION system.  The MidPOD Dock includes four connecting cords, as shown below, that are each labeled to show their respective use.

How to Use: Basic Operating Instructions

  1. To power on the Vaddio GroupSTATION, press the power button on the black crestron wall plate, located to the left of the GroupSTATION television. Press the power button on the Mic-Dock.
  2. Connect your device (computer or tablet) to the Mic-Dock using the HDMI or VGA cords provided.
    1. The USB cord allows for the GroupSTATION's camera to connect to your device.
  3. For a more stable internet connection, you may want to connect your device to the internet using the provided ethernet cord and not the building's wifi.
  4. To power off the GroupSTATION, press and hold the power button located on the Dock-Mic. To power off the television, press and hold the power button on the black Crestron wall plate, located on the left of the GroupSTATION television. 

How to Use: Telephone Calls

  1. To power on the Mic-Dock, press and hold the green power button located on the left side of the Mic-Dock.
  2. The Mic-Dock alone is able to make local calls. To make a local call, dial 8 then the phone number. Long distance calling has been disabled.
  3. To end the call, press the red hang up button, located directly above the power button on the Mic-Dock.

Pressing Video Conference on the wall control while attempting to only make a call, will turn on the GroupSTATION's camera. However the camera will not transmit during the call.

How to Use: Skype

  1. To power on the Vaddio GroupSTATION, press the power button on the black crestron wall plate, located to the left of the GroupSTATION television. Press the power button on the Mic-Dock.
  2. Connect your device (computer or tablet) to the Mic-Dock using the HDMI or VGA cords provided.
    1. The USB cord allows for the GroupSTATION's camera and audio to connect to your device.
  3. For a more stable internet connection, you may want to connect your device to the internet using the provided ethernet cord and not the building's wifi.
  4. Log in to Skype on your device.
  5. In your device settings, select Vaddio STATION for both audio and video settings. [Picture 1- shows settings options for Mac]
  6. To make a Skype video call, use your connected device.
  7. To power off the GroupSTATION, press and hold the power button located on the Dock-Mic. To power off the television, press and hold the power button on the black Crestron wall plate, located on the left of the GroupSTATION television.

How to Use: Webex

  1. To power on the Vaddio GroupSTATION, press the power button on the black crestron wall plate, located to the left of the GroupSTATION television. Press the power button on the Mic-Dock.

Addition Room Features

1.) White Board Wall

This white board wall is only featured on the blue walls directly opposite the door and to the right of the doorway. Use caution when writing on the wall so as not to mistake which wall to use.

Available in this room is a highly unique, but very useful, wall-length white board. This feature of the room allows anyone to demonstrate something to the group on a large scale.

This area of the room features a raised table overlooking the video conference area and has access to two electrical outlets mounted on the table top.
