This room serves as a conference and teleconferencing room with seating available for 16 people.

How to Use Room: Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (the power button is located on the top right of the touch screen). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  2. Press the power button on the CPU to power on the PC computer (CPU located in the right side of the cabinet. The CPU power button is located on the top right of the CPU).
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Select the appropriate input from the touch screen control (PC/VGA/HDMI/AirMedia/TV).
  5. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power off the system.

1.) Display (Sharp)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (located on the top right of the touch screen control). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Select the appropriate input from the touch screen control (PC/HDMI/VGA/AirMedia/TV).
  4. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power off the system.

2.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (located on the top right of the touch screen control). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input
    1. PC allows for the use of the computer connected to the display. [Pic 1]
    2. HDMI and VGA allow for the connection of another computer to the display. [Pic 1]
    3. AirMedia allows for the wireless connection to the display. [Pic 1]
    4. TV allows for connection to cable television. Use the touch screen control to change channels. [Pic 2].
  4. Press IMAGE MUTE located on the top left of the touch screen control to mute the image or audio.
  5. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power off the system.

3.) CPU (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Open the right side of the cabinet to access the CPU.
  2. Press the power button located on the top right of the CPU to turn it on.
  3. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (located on the top right of the touch screen control). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password
  5. Select the appropriate input from the touch screen control (PC/HDMI/VGA/AirMedia/TV).
  6. Use the wireless keyboard and mouse to navigate the computer.
  7. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power off the system.
  8. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

4.) AirMedia (Crestron)

AirMedia is a completely wireless way to present/project information from any mobile device and it makes presentations and collaboration fast and easy. There is one AirMedia in 004 which allows four people to connect at a time.Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the AirMedia button on the touch screen control (located on the far right of the input selections). [Pic 1]
  2. From your laptop:
    1. PC: Enter the web address "http://UA004.elon.edu" and download AirMedia. [Pic 2 & 3]
    2. Mac: Enter the web address "http://UA004.elon.edu" and download AirMedia. [Pic 2 & 3]
  3. From a mobile device:
    1. Download the Crestron AirMedia App from the Appstore or Google Play.
  4. Insert the code found on the top of the classroom projector screen you wish to project onto in the login screen. [Pic 2 & 4]
  5. Verify that touch screen control is set to AirMedia input. [Pic 4]

.) Wireless Keyboard (Logitech)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Open the right side of the cabinet to access the CPU.
  2. Press the power button located on the top right of the CPU to turn it on.
  3. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (located on the top right of the touch screen control). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password
  5. Use the wireless keyboard to navigate the computer (wireless keyboard is already connected).

6.) Wireless Mouse (Logitech)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Open the right side of the cabinet to access the CPU.
  2. Press the power button located on the top right of the CPU to turn it on.
  3. Press the power button on the touch screen control to power on the system (located on the top right of the touch screen control). The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password
  5. Use the wireless mouse to navigate the computer (wireless mouse is already connected).

Additional Room Features

  • This room is equipped with a Vaddio teleconferencing system, including camera, and two room microphones. This system is activated from the computer, and allows for Skype, and other teleconferencing applications.
  • This room has a VGA/AUX and HDMI cord for computer connectivity (below).
