Located on the second floor of Spence Pavilion, this room serves as a classroom with seating available for 36 people. This classroom includes an overhead projector, a projector, a desktop computer, and a touch panel controlling the entire room.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Computer, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
    Laptop/Device inputs are built into the top of the work station.
  3. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right of the computer monitor.
    The desktop computer in the room is the default computer.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password.
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Computer, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
  3. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.

  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the VGA cord and the audio connection.
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

DVD Instructions

  1. The DVD player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  2. Insert your DVD into the player.
  3. Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.

Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.

VCR Instructions

  1. The VHS player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.
  2. Insert your VHS into the player.
  3. Tap on the VCR tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display VCR controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the VCR player.

CD Instructions

  1. The CDs can be played from the DVD player.
  2. Insert your CD into the player.
  3. Tap on the CD tab on the touch panel.
  4. The touch panel will display CD controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the CD player.

AUX Instructions

  1. Other devices can be connected via the composite input.
  2. Tap on AUX tab on the control panel.

  3. The touch panel will display the AUX device options.
    You need to bring your own connection for the alternative device that is going to be used.

 

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

3.) Projector (NEC)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Computer, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

 

4.) Overhead Projector (3M)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the red corner button to turn on the projector.
  2. The projector light can be adjusted knobs located under the plate located on the left side of the projector.
  3. Projector elevation can be adjusted using the black circular knob, located on the upright projector arm.
  4. To turn the projector off, press the red corner button.

 

5.) Web Camera (Avaya)

Additional Room Features
