This room serves as a computer lab for lectures, presentations, and group work. The room has seating for 18 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, HMDI, VGA, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, and AUX).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 10 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input to display on the three TVs.
    1. Computer/device inputs (HDMI, VGA, AUX) are built into the top of the work station.
    2. Student PC's can be displayed on the TVs, select the input by first choosing a student's table and then selecting the specific computer. It will be shown on the second monitor before being sent to the TV displays.
    3. DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
    4. TV input can be changed via the touch screen (located under TV tab).
    5. CD can be played from the DVD player, insert into the tray.
  3. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

 

2.) Desktop (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 40 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from computer inputs to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

3.) Student Desktop

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  4. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

4.) Student Display Button (AbleNet)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To display student desktop to all TV displays, press the AbleNet button attached to the computer monitor.
    Student Buttons are On must be selected from Student PCs on the touch screen control located on the work station.

 

5.) Flat Panel Display (LG)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system.
  4. Select appropriate input to display on TVs (CMPTR, Student PCs, DVD/VCR, TV, CD).
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

6.) Web Camera (Avaya)

7.) Student Print Station (Canon)

Additional Room Features

  • The work station includes the desktop computer, telephone, touch screen control, DVD/VCR player, as well as built in device inputs for: 1) Electrical, 2) VGA, 3) HDMI, 4) Ethernet, and 5) Auxiliary.
  • Available in this room is a white board wall. The area for writing is only on the upper half of the wall, above the ledges where markers and erasers can be placed.
