This room serves as a classroom with equipment for lectures, video recording, and presentations. Classroom 102 has seating for 24 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, Doc Cam, AUX, and Observation Room).
      Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron) - Room Control

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.
    1. Computer/device inputs (HDMI, VGA, AUX) are built into the top of the work station.
    2. AirMedia is also found within the CMPTR tab, follow the prompts. 
    3. DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
    4. TV input can be changed via the touch screen (located under TV tab).
    5. CD can be played from the DVD player, insert into the disc tray.
    6. Document camera can be selected and adjusted from the touch screen control.
    7. Other devices can be connected via the AUX cord.
    8. Room observation can be selected under the Observation Room tab.
  3. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

 
2.) Document Camera (WolfVision)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use. 

 

3.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from computer inputs to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (Click the windows button in the bottom left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).
 

4.) Projector (NEC)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, Doc Cam, AUX, and Observation Room).
    Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.

 

5.) Web Camera (Avaya)

This room is equipped with an Avaya HC020 web camera to use with web conferencing. Please review the articles below for additional information.

6.) Touch Screen Panel (Crestron) - Recording System

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the top right side of the touch panel to power on the system.
  2. Insert a USB drive into the wall port located just above the touch panel.
  3. Press Enter Name to enter name for video recording file.
  4. Press Setup Cameras to select the desired camera(s) and desired video angle(s).
  5. Press the Record button to begin video recording.
  6. Press the Stop Recording to end the video recording.

  7. Remove USB after video has finished recording.
  8. To power off the system, press the power button on the top right side of the touch panel.

 

7.) Video Recorder (Vaddio)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the top right side of the touch screen panel to power on the system.
  2. Enter USB into wall port above the touch screen panel.
  3. Enter Name for video recording file.
  4. Press Select Cameras to select desired camera(s) and angle(s).
  5. Press Record to begin recording.
  6. Press Stop Recording to end video recording.
  7. Press the power button on the top right of the touch screen panel to power off the system.

Additional Room Features

  • Recording microphone. Found at the instructor station

  The work station microphone connects to the observation rooms (104, 110). To activate, select the observation rooms from the work station touch control.

 

  • Cable cubby, with HDMI(1), VGA(2), Ethernet(3), AUX(4), RCA(5) connectivity, along with power outlets(6).

  • This room features whiteboard walls, they are present on all four walls, above the ledge which holds whiteboard markers and erasers.
