Located on the basement floor of McMichael, this room serves as a classroom and lab space with seating for 24 students. This classroom includes two projectors, a touch panel, a document camera, a desktop computer for instructor use, and various lab equipment.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
    Laptop/Device inputs (HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.
  3. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password.
  5. Turn the projector system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, press the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer.

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen to turn on the system.
  2. The system will take 30-90 seconds to warm up.
  3. Select the input that you want to display through the projector.
  4. To mute, "Image Mute" or select "Display" then "Image Mute."
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right corner of the touch screen.
  6. Select the "YES Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.      

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and sign in with your Elon username and password.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cable.                                                                                                                                                                                    
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia Instructions

This room is equipped with AirMedia. AirMedia is a way to present that allows users to wirelessly connect to the room's audio and visual system (i.e. speakers and projector).

  1. Select the AirMedia button on the touch screen.
  2.  Enter the IP address or the web address into the search bar of your web browser.                                                                                                                    
  3. If you have not already downloaded the AirMedia software, follow the prompts from the website.
  4. When prompted, enter the access code for the room, found on the touch panel controller or the projected screen.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Select" Document Camera" on the touch screen.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen.
  4. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right of the touch screen or select another input to use.

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop on the touch screen to display.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
  6. To turn the computer off, press the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer.

3.) Projector (Canon) (x2)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
    Computer inputs (HDMI) are built into the table top of the work station.
  3. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
