Located on the basement floor of McMichael, this room serves as a laboratory classroom with seating available for 18 students. This classroom includes a projector system, touch panel, and 6 computers for student use.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, DocCam, and AUX).
- Laptop/Device inputs are built into the top of the work station.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-left of the back side of the monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and select "Shut Down" from the drop-down menu.

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.
- Computer inputs (VGA and HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.

- DVD/VCR can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- TV can be played with the Toshiba player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
- CD can be played from the Dell CPU, insert into the CD tray (Dell CPU located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station).
- Document camera can be viewed by selecting the "DocCam" tab on the touch screen control.
- Other devices can be connected via the AUX cord.
- To mute the screen image, press "Image Mute," located on the top-left of the touch screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
2.) Desktop Computer
Basic Operating Instructions
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on bottom-right of the desktop monitor.
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
- To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
- To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom-left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).
3.) Projector (NEC)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (CMPTR, DVD/VCR, TV, CD, DocCam, and AUX).
- Computer inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
- Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
4.) Document Camera (WolfVision)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
- Document camera is ready for use.
- Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
- To turn the system off, press the off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.
