Room Summary

Located on the second floor of Moseley, this room serves as the John R. Kernodle Center for Civic Life for Elon University students. The Kernodle Center for Civic Life engages students, faculty, staff and community partners in service that benefits the university and its surrounding community. The Kernodle Center houses Elon Volunteers!, a student-led program offering a range of volunteer activities; coordinates Elon’s signature academic service-learning programs and courses; and sponsors the Alternative Breaks Program.

Available Technology

Below is a list of all the technology available in Moseley 232.

1.) Flat Panel Display (TCL)

Basic Operating Instructions

1. Turn on the TV by pressing the red power button on the top of the Roku remote control.
2. Use the Roku remote to navigate to the desired input or application. 
3. To return to the home screen, press the home button on the top right of the remote.
4. Adjust display volume levels with the three buttons on the right side of the remote control.
5. Turn off the TV by pressing the red power button on the top of the Roku remote control.

HDMI Instructions

1. Use the Roku remote to select the Computer tile on the home screen. 
2. Use the HDMI cable, located in the cabinets below the TV, to plug your personal device into the wall plate right below the TV.  
3. Ensure your device is on.

Philo TV

1. Use the Roku remote to select the Philo tile on the home screen. 
2. Use the arrows to select a channel to watch. 
3. Adjust display volume levels with the three buttons on the right side of the remote control.
4. Use the left arrow button on the top left of the remote to go back one page.
