Often after a power outage, one or more monitors will not come on. There is a specific order of unplugging and plugging back in that will resolve the issue. Attempt the following steps. If they don't work, contact the Technology Service Desk.
- Unplug the computer from the docking station
- Unplug the power supply from the back of the docking station
- Wait 10 seconds
- Plug the power back in on the docking station
- Plug the docking station back into the computer
No reboot is necessary and it should work right away.
This will also affect some monitor display positioning issues, like a screen that's off-centered.
