This room is located on the first floor of Belk. It can be used for classes or presentations. It also could be used for a group project study area. It has 22 mobile whiteboards.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia 1, AirMedia 2, AirMedia 3, DVD, Document Camera).
    Laptop/Device inputs are built into the cable cubby at the tabletop of the work station.
  3. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the computer monitor.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password, then when done you can turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  5. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Instructions

  1. Tap the touch panel to turn on the system.

  2. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
  3. Select the input that you want to display through the projector.
  4. To mute, "Image Mute" in the upper left hand corner.

  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right corner of the touch panel control.

  6. Select the "YES Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.

Additional Touch Panel Instructions (Advanced)

  1. Use the "Break Out" option to display one of the available AirMedia sources on each projection screen.

  2. Use the "Custom" option to choose what source is displayed on each projection screen and to select of there is sound or not.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and login with your Elon username and password.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch panel.

  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cord.

  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia 1, 2, & 3 Instructions

This room is equipped with AirMedia. AirMedia is a way to present that allows users to wirelessly connect to the room's audio and visual system (i.e. speakers and projector). Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to connect your device.

DVD Instructions

  1. The DVD player is located in the cabinet beneath the computer.

  2. Turn on the DVD player by pressing the switch on the left hand side

  3. Tap on the DVD tab on the touch panel.

  4. The touch panel will display DVD controller buttons.
  5. Use the buttons displayed to control the DVD player.
  6. Eject the DVD manually by pressing the button on the right side of the DVD player.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.

  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.

2.) AirMedia (Crestron)

This room is equipped with AirMedia. AirMedia is a way to present that allows users to wirelessly connect to the room's audio and visual system (i.e. speakers and projector).

3.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button located on the right side of the monitor.

  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To turn off the computer, click the Shut Down button by clicking on the settings option in the lower-left hand corner, then selecting "Log off" or "Shut down."

4.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the control panel to turn on the projector.
  2. Press the control panel to mute the projector.
  3. Turn the projector off by pressing the "Off" button on the control panel.

5.) Document Camera (Wolfvision)

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.

Additional Features 

  • Instructor's Station - Located at the front of the room is an instructor's station that has a desktop, the Crestron control panel, an ethernet cable, and HDMI cable, a charging station for laptops and the equipment rack in the cabinet.
