This room is located on the first floor of the Numen Lumen Pavilion. It is connected to the Sacred Space, but can be separated by a divider if only one room is needed for an event. If only the Sacred Space is in use, the McBride Gathering Space can not be reserved and vice versa since the partition is not sound proof. Any students can reserve the space, but priority is given to religiously affiliated events.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the touch screen control, the system will take 20 seconds to turn on.
  2. Select which display you wish to use.
  3. If you need to adjust microphone settings, use the "Microphone Volume" section.
  4. Use the "Projector and Screen" section to mute the projector, roll the screen up/down, or turn off the projector.
  5. To shut down the system, press the power button to the right and then select "Yes" when prompted.

* Currently, there is no desktop computer, DVD player, VCR, or Roku (for cable access) available in the McBride Gathering Space.

 

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the Power Button to the right to turn on the system.

  2. To operate the system, use the different sections on the left to choose what you wish to control.

  3. Once you are finished with the system, press the power button again to turn it off.
  4. You will be asked if you wish to shut down the system, select "Yes" if you want to finish the shutdown process.

Selecting a Video Source

  1. Use this section to choose what you want the projector to display.
  2. Select "Wall Input" to select which input you will be using from the options (HDMI In Front, HDMI In Rear, VGA- PC In Front, VGA- PC In Rear).

  3. If you are using HDMI In Front, connect your device to the HDMI port at the front of the room to the left of the projection screen.

  4. If you are using HDMI In Rear, connect your device to the HDMI port at the back of the room to the left of the projector.

  5. If you are using VGA- PC In Front, connect your device to the VGA port at the front of the room to the left of the projection screen.

  6. If you are using VGA- PC In Rear, connect your device to the VGA Port at the back of the room to the left of the projector.

  7. To play a DVD, select "DVD" option and use the buttons that appear to control the system.

  8. To play using the VCR, select the "VCR" option and use the buttons that appear to control the system.

  9. To watch TV in this area, select "Cable TV" and use the Roku remote to select what source you want to use.

Microphone Volume 

  1. Use this section to control both the wired and wireless microphones.
  2. Use "Wall Input" for the wired microphones (number 3 and number 4).

  3. Use the options on the touch screen to control the wired microphones.
  4. Use "Wireless Mics" for the wireless microphones (number 1 and number 2).

  5. Use the options on the touch screen to control the wireless microphones.

Projector & Screen

  1. Select "Projector Control" to control the projector and the automatic screen.

  2. From here you can mute the image and the audio from the projector as well as control the screen's height.
  3. The projector can be shut down here as well.

 

2.) Projector (Panasonic)

Basic Instructions

  1. Touch the touch panel to turn on the system. It should take about 20 seconds to warm up and turn on.
  2. Use the touch panel to select the desired input.
  3. To turn off the system, press the power button on the top-right of the touch panel.

 

3.) Wall Plate (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Connect laptop via the HDMI port (top).
  2. Connect laptop via the VGA port (bottom).
