Room Summary
This is a conference room located in the Belk Library. It is for the offices in the adjoining rooms. It has the ability to make conference calls and video chat conferences. The presentations and meetings can also be recorded for future reference. There are also two whiteboards on the walls available for use.
How to Use Room: Base Level Operations
- Turn on the touch panel controller by tapping the panel. It will take about 45 seconds to warm up.
- When the touch control panel is turned on the smart board at the front of the room will also turn on.
- Select your desired input using the touch panel controller (Desktop, Laptop VGA, Laptop HDMI, DVD/VCR, or AUX).
- Turn off the touch panel controller by tapping the power button located on the top right of the panel.
- When the touch control panel is turned off the smart board at the front of the room will also turn off.

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 45 seconds to warm up.
- Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (VGA, HDMI, AirMedia, DVD/VCR,AUX).
- Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
Laptop (HDMI & VGA) Instructions
- Choose the desired input.
- VGA

- For VGA connect the laptop using the VGA cord in the cable cubby.
- For HDMI connect the laptop using the HDMI cord to the right of the desk.
- Ensure that your device is on.
DVD/DVR Instructions
- Choose the desired input.
- The DVD/VCR player is located in the cabinet in the instructor's work station.
- Insert the DVD or VCR into the player.
- Use the buttons displayed on the touch screen to control the DVD or VCR.
AUX Instructions
- Choose the desired input.

- The AUX cord does not provide the best connection, so if possible please an alternative method to connect your device for presentations.
Basic Operating Instructions for AirMedia
- Make sure that the Crestron system is on.
- Select the "AirMedia" option on the touch panel controller.
- A screen similar to the one shown below will appear on the projector screen.
- Go the URL displayed at the top of the screen, it will take you to a page that looks similar to the one below.
- If you have not used AirMedia before in this room, download it by clicking on the respective buttons for your device type.
- Once you have downloaded it, locate the file in your download folder and open it.
- A small screen will appear on your device with an input box.
- Type in the Room Code that is projected at the top right of the screen into the input box on your device.
- Click on the "Connect" button, and your device's screen will appear on the projected screen.
- To stop presenting, click on the stop button.
2.) Desktop (Dell)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Make sure the Crestron system is on.
- Choose the desired input.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button located on the front of the CPU on the bottom right side.
- Login using your Elon username and password.
- Turn off the computer by clicking on the windows logo on the bottom left corner of the screen, then select the "Shut Down" option.
- Once again turn off the CPU by pressing the same power button.
3.) Smart Board (SMART Technologies, Inc.)
Basic Operating Instructions
- Ensure that the system is turned on.
- Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the right column of the equipment rack).
- Login with your Elon username and password.
- To write on the board, select a pen option on the right side of the SMART board.
- Pen color can be changed by pressing the colored buttons in front of the eraser.
- To erase board writing, either use the eraser or use your hand in the shape of a fist to erase.
- To type information on to the screen, press the keyboard button located to the left of the eraser.
- To right click on the screen, press the mouse button located to the right of the eraser.
- To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.
4.) Projector (NEC) Instructions
- Touch the touch screen control to turn on the projector.
- Use the touch screen control to mute the projector.
- Turn the projector off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
5.) Phone (CISCO) Instructions
- Use like a regular office phone.
- Can be used to make conference calls.

- There is a cable cubby located at the top of the work station that is in the front of the room that provides input connections for: 1) Electrical, 2) AUX, 3) VGA, 4) HDMI and 5) Composite.
