Curve Grades in Moodle

You can only curve grades for graded activities within Moodle, such as Assignments, Quizzes, and Forums. You cannot curve grades for manually created grade items.

1.) In your Moodle course on the left menu, click 'Grades'

2.) Click 'Setup'

• This will redirect you to the Categories and Items page.

3.) Click the 'Edit' link in the same row as your graded activity

4.) Select 'Edit settings'

5.) Click the 'Show more...' link

6.) Enter the quantity of points to offset the grade by

• In this example, the amount is 10 points.

7.) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Save changes' button
