(Formally called Williams Conference Room)

The President's Conference room found on the first floor of Powell building. It can seat 12 individuals and is designed for wireless connectivity only. This room has the capability for cable as well as streaming content through an Apple TV, Roku Streaming Stick, or AirMedia. 

How to Use: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the TV using the Samsung remote control.
  2. Press the button with the home icon to access the main menu.
  3. To quickly change inputs, use the right arrow to navigate to the desired input tile (AirMedia, Apple TV, Roku, or Samsung TV Plus).
  4. Turn off the TV using the Samsung remote control.

To Access Cable

  1. Turn on the TV using the Samsung remote control.
  2. Press the Samsung TV Plus button on the Samsung remote.

To Use Apple TV

  1. Turn on the TV and Apple TV simultaneously by pressing the power button on the Apple TV remote.
  2. Begin screen mirroring or use the Apple TV remote to navigate to the desired application.

To Use AirMedia

  1. Turn on the TV using the Samsung TV remote.
  2. Press the button with the home icon to access the main menu.
  3. Use the right arrow to select the AirMedia tile.
  4. Follow the prompts displayed on the TV screen and your personal device.
  5. Use the Crestron AirMedia application on your device to control your presentation.

To Use Roku/Streeme

  1. Turn on the TV by pressing the power button on the Roku remote.
  2. Press the button with the home icon on the Roku remote to access the main menu for the Roku.
  3. Use the Roku remote to open the Streeme application and select desired channel.

1.) TV (Samsung)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Use the Samsung TV remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Use the Samsung remote to change the channels and volume.
    1. To change the channels, push up or down on the silver button on the right of the remote.
    2. To access the channel guide, press the silver button on the right of the remote.
    3. To adjust the volume, push up or down on the silver button on the left of the the remote.
    4. To mute and unmute the TV, press the silver button on the left of the remote.
  3. Turn off the TV by pressing the power button on the Samsung remote.
Accessing Cable Option 1:
  1. Press the Samsung TV Plus button on the Samsung remote control.
Accessing Cable Option 2:

  1. Press the button with the home icon on the Samsung remote.
  2. Press the right arrow until you reach Samsung TV Plus tile on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the application by pressing the round center button.
Accessing Cable Option 3:

  1. Press the button with the home icon on the remote.
  2. Press the left arrow until you reach the source button on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the source icon by pressing the round enter button on the remote.
  3. Select the input source titled TV (highlighted in yellow in the image above). It may take a minute for the TV to change inputs and display the proper screen.

 

2.) AirMedia (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Use the Samsung TV remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Access AirMedia, see options for accesing AirMedia below.
  3. When the AirMedia screen is presented, either enter the IP address in the bottom left of the screen into a web browser on your personal device, or enter in the IP address directly to the AirMedia software on your personal device.
    1. If you have not used AirMedia before, you will have to download the software onto your device. Follow the prompts on your screen which loads after you enter the IP address into your browser.
  4. The software will ask for a room code. This is a 4 digit code that can be found on the bottom left side of the display screen, underneath the IP address.
  5. Once you begin presenting, you can use the Crestron AirMedia application on your device to control your presentation.
  6. To stop presenting, click the disconnect button.
  7. Turn off the TV using the power button on the Samsung remote.

  1. Press the button with the home icon on the Samsung remote.
  2. Press the right arrow until you reach AirMedia tile on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the application by pressing the round center button.

3.) Apple TV (Apple)

Basic Operating Instructions

Turning on Apple TV Option 1:
  1. Use the Apple TV remote to turn on the TV and Apple TV.
  2. Begin screen mirroring or use the Apple TV remote to navigate to the desired application.
Turning on Apple TV Option 2:

  1. Press the button with the home icon on the Samsung remote. 
  2. Press the right arrow until you reach Apple TV tile icon on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the application by pressing the round center button.
  3. Ensure the Apple TV is on by pressing the power button on the top right of the Apple TV remote.
  4. Begin screen mirroring or use the Apple TV remote to navigate to the desired application.
Turning on Apple TV Option 3:

  1. Use the Samsung TV remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Press the button with the home icon on the remote.
  3. Press the left arrow until you reach the source button on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the source icon by pressing the round enter button on the remote.
  4. Select the input source titled Apple TV (highlighted in yellow in the image above). It may take a minute for the TV to change inputs and display the proper screen.
  5. Ensure the Apple TV is on by pressing the power button on the top right of the Apple TV remote.
  6. Begin screen mirroring or use the Apple TV remote to navigate to the desired application.
Using Apple TV for Screen Mirroring (Wireless Connect):

Screen mirroring to the Apple TV is available for Apple products such as Mac computers, iPhones, and iPads.

  1. Find the screen mirroring button on your personal device.
  2. Select Williams Conference as the device you wish to screen mirror to.
  3. Enter in the four digit passcode, which displays on the TV screen, into your personal device.
  4. For screen mirroring iPhones, the display will not be full screen unless you rotate your phone and are within an app in which rotation is allowed.

*Note: If a device is currently presenting and another device attempts to screen mirror to this device, the new device will override the currently presenting device.

Using an application on the Apple TV:
  1. To use an application on the Apple TV, use the Apple TV remote to navigate to the desired application.
    1. You can use either the up, down, left, and right buttons, or you can swipe your finger over the central button in any direction to move the cursor.
  2. The right side of the Apple TV remote has controls for the volume.
  3. From the main menu, press the back arrow button to reach the screen saver.
Turning off the Apple TV and TV display:
  1. Turn off the Apple TV by pressing the power button on the Apple TV remote. This will also turn off the TV.

 

4.) Roku Streaming Stick + (Roku)

Basic Operating Instructions

Turning on the Roku Option 1:
  1. Use the Roku remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Press the button with the home icon on the Roku remote to access the main menu for the Roku.
  3. Use the Roku remote to navigate to the desired application.
Turning on the Roku Option 2:

  1. Press the button with the home icon on the Samsung remote. 
  2. Press the right arrow until you reach Roku tile icon on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select using the round center button.
  3. Ensure the Roku is on by pressing the home button on the top right of the Apple TV.
Turning on the Roku Option 3:

  1. Use the Samsung remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Press the button with the home icon on the remote.
  3. Press the left arrow until you reach the source button on the TV screen (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the source icon by pressing the round enter button on the remote.
  4. Select the input source titled Roku/Streeme (highlighted in yellow in the image above). It may take a minute for the TV to change inputs and display the proper screen.
  5. Use the volume up and volume down buttons on the right side of the Roku remote to adjust the volume. There is also a mute button on the right side of the Roku remote.
  6. To turn off the Roku, press the power button on the Roku control. This will also turn off the TV.
Streeme TV Instructions
  1. Use the arrow buttons on the Roku remote to navigate to, and then select, the Streeme TV application tile.
    1. Inside Streeme, a list of live channels is displayed.
    2. To select a certain channel, use the arrow keys to highlight a channel, then press the “OK” button.
    3. To go back to the channel information screen, press the back button.
    4. To go back to the channel list from the channel information screen, press the back button again.

5.) Parlè (Biamp)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Use the Samsung TV remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Press the button with the home icon on the remote.
  3. Move the highlighted option to Source by pressing left on the outer circle of the Samsung remote.
  4. Select PC and press the center button for OK.
  5. Log on to the computer using your Elon user name and password.
    1. If the computer is not on, press the power button on the system located on the small table to the right of the TV.
  6. Open the web conferencing application.
    1. Select VBC 2500 as the camera.
    2. Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Biamp Parlè VBC 2500) as the microphone and speaker
  7. When the web conference is finished log off of the computer.
  8. Turn off the TV using the power button on the Samsung remote.
