(Formally President's Conference Room (PCR))

This is one of the President's conference room found on the first floor of Powell building. The room can seat _ individuals and has a desktop computer, laptop connectivity, a Blu-Ray player, and the capability for streaming content through AirMedia.

 

How to Use: Base Level Operations

  1. Press the power icon on the touch panel control.
  2. Select the option to turn on the whole room system.
  3. Choose desired input by pressing the tab at the bottom of the touch panel screen.
  4. Press the Send to Projector button to display the input on the projector screen.
  5. Use the touch panel to adjust volume and control the projector and screen.
  6. Turn off the system by pressing the Power button in the top right corner of the touch panel screen. Confirm by selecting YES.

1.) Touch Panel Control (Crestron)

  1. Press the power icon on the top right of the screen to start the system.
  2. Select to either turn on the whole room's system or only turn on the tele-conference feature. 
  3. Use the arrows and mute button on the right side of the touch screen to adjust the sound volume in the room. Press the Display button to control the projector (turning it on and off or muting the image) and projector screen (adjusting the screen height). 
  4. To turn the system off, press the Power button in the top right corner of the touch screen. 
  5. Select YES to continue with the system shutdown. It will take a minute or two for the system to cool down and completely shut off. 

Desktop Instructions

  1. Press the Desktop tab at the bottom of the touch panel screen. 
  2. To have the desktop screen displayed on the projector screen, select the blue Send to Projector button at the top of the touch screen.
  3. To use the desktop computer, log in with your Elon username and password. A wireless keyboard and mouse are available for use at the front of the room.
  4. To control the Vaddio web camera at the front of the room, press the control camera button.

Laptop Instructions

  1. Press the Laptop tab at the bottom of the touch panel screen.
  2. Connect your personal device to the system using either the HDMI or VGA and aux cables provided in the cable cubby next to the touch panel control.
  3. Based on which cable connection you choose, select the appropriate button in the right center of the screen - either HDMI or VGA.
  4. To have your device's screen mirrored to the projector screen, select the blue Send to Projector button at the top of the touch screen.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Select the AirMedia tab on the bottom of the touch panel screen.
  2. The projector will display a screen with the IP address for the AirMedia as well as a four digit room code.
  3. Enter the IP displayed at the bottom left of the screen into a browser on your personal device.
  4. If you have not used AirMedia before, you will have to download the software. Follow the prompts given on your personal device.
  5. After entering the IP address into a browser, the AirMedia software will open and will ask for the room code.
  6. Once you have begun your presentation, use the functions within the AirMedia software on your device to control the presentation.
  7. To stop presenting, click on the disconnect button.

Blu-Ray Instructions

  1. Press the Blu-Ray tab at the bottom of the touch panel screen.
  2. To have the Blu-Ray player screen displayed on the projector screen, select the blue Send to Projector button at the top of the touch screen.
  3. Insert the Blu-Ray or DVD disc into the tray in the Blu-Ray player, which is located in the middle cabinet underneath the projector screen.
  4. Use the touch panel to control the functions of the Blu-Ray player, including volume adjustments.

 

2.) Desktop (Dell)

  1. Press the power icon on the touch panel control.
  2. Press the Desktop tab at the bottom of the touch panel screen. 
  3. To have the desktop screen displayed on the projector screen, select the blue Send to Projector button at the top of the touch screen.
  4. To use the desktop computer, log in with your Elon username and password. A wireless keyboard and mouse are available for use at the front of the room.

 

3.) Projector (Canon)

Additional Room Features

  • There is a cable cubby with retractable HDMI, VGA, and audio cables, as well as 2 electrical outlets.
