This room serves as a presentation area, study space, or classroom with seating available for 35 people.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the top right of the CPU (located on the top of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the top right side of the computer monitor.
  3. Login with your Elon username and password.
  4. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  5. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, VGA, Composite, DVD, VCR, CD, and AUX).
    Laptop/Device inputs are built into the table top of the work station.
  6. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top right side of the touch screen control.
  7. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom leftside of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.

  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input.
    1. Computer inputs (VGA) are built into the top of the work station.

    2. Laptop can be connected via VGA Cord.

    3. Airmedia is available.

    4. DVD can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.

    5. VCR can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.

    6. CD can be played from the Dell CPU, insert into the CD tray (Dell CPU located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station).

    7. Other devices can be connected via the AUX cord.

    8. Press IMAGE MUTE, located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.

  3. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Select one of the "AirMedia" options on the touch panel.

  2. A screen projecting all the same information as on the control panel will be shown for the classroom occupants to see.

  3. If you have never used AirMedia for this room, you will have to go to the navigate to the room's AirMedia website to download this room's AirMedia software. Click here to go to the site.
  4. Download the AirMedia software by clicking on the respective download buttons.

  5. Once you have downloaded it, locate it in your download folder and then open it.

  6. A small panel will appear on your device with an input box.

  7. Type in the Room Code that is projected at the top right of the projected screen into the input box on your device.

  8. Press the "Connect" button, and your device screen will appear on the projected screen.

  9. To stop presenting, click on the stop button.

2.) Desktop Computer (Dell)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the bottom-right side of the computer monitor.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 15 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, click the Shut Down button (click the Windows button on the bottom-left side of the desktop, the Shut Down button is located to the right of the display window).

 

3.) Projector (NEC)

Additional Room Features

Installed in the top of the instructor work station is a cable cubby which provides inputs for 1) Electrical, 2) VGA, 3) Composite, and 4) Auxiliary.
