The Shipowitz Family Conference Room is located on the second floor of the Inman Admissions building. The conference room has seating for 22 people, serving as a private presentation and meeting room.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the power button on the top right of the touch screen panel located below the TV.
  2. Select the appropriate input (PC, AirMedia, HDMI, VGA, Blu-ray/DVD, Cable TV, Tele-Conference).
  3. To use the Tele-Conference input, enter the desired phone number and press DIAL.
  4. To power off the system, touch the power button on the top right of the touch screen panel located below the TV.

1.) TV (Sharp)

The Sharp TV

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Press the power button on the top right of the touch screen panel located below the TV to turn on.
  2. The power button will blink red as it warms up.
  3. Select the appropriate input (PC, AirMedia, HDMI, VGA, Blu-ray/DVD, Cable TV, Tele-Conference).
  4. Ports for personal device inputs are located in the middle of the conference table. HDMI, VGA, Audio, and Ethernet cables are also provided and can be found in the cabinets underneath the TV display.
  5. To power off, press the power button on the top right of the touch screen panel below the TV.

 

2.) Touch Panel (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch power button on the top right of the touch screen to start the presentation system.
  2. Select input (PC, AirMedia, HDMI, VGA, Blu-ray/DVD, Cable TV, Tele-Conference).
  3. To turn off the system, press the power button on the right side of the touch screen control. Press YES when prompted to shut down the system.

PC Instructions

  1. Select the PC button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. The TV display should present a typical Windows OS login screen. Use the wireless keyboard and mouse to control the screen.

  3. Ensure the desktop computer is on. It is located in the cabinet underneath the TV display, at the top of the equipment rack. If the computer is not on, press the power button.
  4. Log in with your personal Elon username and password.

AirMedia Instructions

  1. Select the AirMedia button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. The TV display will present a screen with an IP or web address and room code.

  3. Type the IP address into the address line in your browser. Follow prompts and enter in room code.
    1. If you have not used AirMedia before, you must download software onto your personal device. Follow the prompts on the website to download the necessary software.

HDMI Instructions

  1. Select the HDMI button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. Connect your personal device to an open HDMI port in the middle of the table using an HDMI cord.

VGA Instructions

  1. Select the VGA button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. Connect your personal device to an open VGA port in the middle of the table using an VGA cord.

  3. If you want to present with audio, you must also connect your computer with an aux cord.

Blu-Ray/DVD Instructions

  1. Select the Blu-Ray/DVD button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. The Blu-Ray player is located on the equpiment rack in the cabinets underneath the TV display. 
  3. Insert your disc into the player by placing it onto the tray.
  4. Use the touch screen to control the settings for the Blu-Ray player.

Cable TV Instructions

  1. Select the Cable TV button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. Use the touch screen to control the settings for the Cable TV function.

Tele-Conference Instructions

  1. Select the Tele-Conference button on the left side of the touch screen.

  2. Use the touch screen to set up the conference call and to control the settings and functions of the system.
